  • The 1-ton clamping force provided by the jaws, which is foot-pedal operated, leaves hands free
  • Tripod base gives exceptional all-terrain stability; front legs incorporate holes to allow floor fastening for more permanent jobs
  • Vice jaws extend to a full 37-inches to clamp even the largest materials, including a standard size 36-inch door
  • A lock-release switch locks material in place and easily releases with the flick of a switch
  • Quickly folds down (no tools needed) to a portable 43 pounds; incorporates wheel for even easier portability

  • Should have bought it sooner Almost totally eliminates the need to ever have someone else around to help hold something in place. This thing is awesome.
Rockwell Jawhorse RK9000 I manufacture wood items for sale and thought the Jawhorse looked like it would be usefull. I took the plunge about 3 weeks ago and ordered the RK9000 from Amazon. In 3 days it was on my doorstep. I wanted something with a vise to hold rustic live edge heavy wood slabs so that I can shape the edges and sand them. I also use the Jawhorse to hold the heavy slabs 4060# flat to belt sand the slabs. The Jawhorse has surpassed all my expectations and I'm wondering how I got by without it. It has paid for itself already as in 4 or 5 sessions I have clamped irregular shaped items as many as 5060 times each session. It is effortless to engage the vise and release it. The rubber padded jaws protect the finished edges without marring them. The vise is strong and the stance is wide enough to hold heavy items and not tip.
Don't be put off by the price As the Jawhorse has had numerous reviews and comments here I would like to just add a couple of observations. The first is that you may not need the miter saw holding attachment that is sold separately. I have it but simply clamping my Dewalt 716 between the jaws worked fine for my needs and was quick and easy to do. Secondly you will need to watch out for the legs which being splayed out as they may be a trip hazard. Lastly review the videos on Youtube and elsewhere to really understand its versatility. It is an outstanding piece of equipment and definitely worth the money especially if you are doing renovations.
rockwell RK9000 Jawhorse I gave it as a gift and don't know if he has used it yet. Received in record time.
Problem hanging doors Rockwell video shows the Jawhorse being used to hang doors. However when you try to hang a door you will find that the foot pedal will damage the door stile when you attempt to unlock the door by pressing on the foot pedal. I have a damaged door to proove it. The jaws need to be located more toward the back end of the unit.
Great help! Great piece of equipment with regards to safety cutting with circular saw & functionality. Built a loft & shelving for a shed & this equipment just made things easierfaster & most especially safer. Compared to using sawhorses this equipment keeps both your hands on the saw rather than the other on the wood. Been fortunate the one that I received have no quality control issues. The Dewalt screwdriver & this one are my favorite tool when doing projects. I highly recommend this piece of equipment.
Simply put GREAT!! After looking all over town for days I finally broke down and looked on Amazon. To my surprise it was listed for $20.00 less than advertised and with free shipping to Alaska!!! My Jawhorse arrived in less than 7 days to my door UPS I am amazed at the cost involved far better experiance than I ever expected.
great piece of equipment but I purchased this at Lowe's last week on sale for $150.It is a great piece of equipment and I love it but when I went to move it one of the front legs collapsed. The legs are supposed to lock into place but the locking tab on the one leg is defective. A slight pressure against the tab causes the leg to collapse into the folded position. Fortunately I had nothing on the device at that time. I have to return it now for another one. I don't know where I would be had I ordered this on line. It is heavy and I feel it would be a hassle to return something this big and have to wait for another. I will check the new one at the store before I bring it home.
i like it It's good very ez to use quick set up and I don't like the color to much but still good. I'm I at 20 words yet.
Love the Jawhorse I just love this Jawhorse. I have used it many times in the short time I have owned it. I work alone most of the time so it is my extra hand. I have used it as a work table and as a clamp to hold many items that I had to saw. it's one of the best tools in my garage and is worth every penny to me.

Not worth the money The jawhorse is a very solid piece of equipment. The miter saw station is junklots of plastic hand hole for the saw panel's on the wrong side metal structure under the saw table eats your leg up if you're carrying the saw with one hand. I am a professional carpenter and was looking for something that wouldn't take up so much room in the truck. I currently have my 12 saw mounted to a wheeled Ridgid saw stand. Stand is great but takes up a lot of room in the back of the Tacoma. Wanted something to use when I didn't have a lot of trim to do and this isn't it. Anybody with any shop skill could top this effort with about $40 in materials and an hour or so to fabricate.Don't be misled by the picture the guy put in there with his hand miter saw mounted to it. He bought some good rollers from Rockler and did it right. Too bad Rockwell went cheap on this. Amazon you need to add a category for equipment that's not defective but not well made either. Your sellers need to stop putting this kind of stuff out there. Rockwellupgrade the components and charge another $15 or so. This is rather disappointing.
Best gift ever I bought the Rockwell Jawhorse Miter Saw for my son as a gift when he bought his first house it was perfect. I must say Amazon.com made the purchase easy and delivery fast even with the free shipping my son received his Jawhorse products within a week. I have received many thank yous from him.
Nice conceptbut proved too unstable for bigger saws. Easy to setup and the feed rollers are handy but even adequate bracing was not capable of handling the size and/or weight of my bigger miter saw. To be fair I was trying to use my Milwaukee 12 dualbevel sliderwith a curbweight of abt. 80#'s. I have a 10 backup saw that fit well enough. Although I thought of it to be a good idea when I ordered it. It makes a great workstation for using smaller tools. As for it being sold as a miter saw standI would advise against it. I have one Jhorse as well as a pair of
Jawhorse Miter attachment Ok I could have built one of these but you can't buy time. Fits perfect easy to use. Allows me to use my jawhorse on more projects.
Jawhorse Miter Saw Station I used the miter saw table and roller accessories for cutting lamenate flooring and found it to be very helpful. It's a bit pricy but if it makes the job safer it's worth it. It also makes set up easy with the adjustable rollers.
Could be usefull I picked this up over at Lowes for only $29.98 so I figured it was worth getting compared to all the other online prices I see of $61+.1st impression1 It is well packed in the box. Felt like an Apple product unboxing.2 Overall it is dead simple to setup. You take a 2x4 and this workbench and put them together in the jawhorse. Add the 2x rollers included to a 2x4 Not included as needed and optionally add additional 2x cross support included to some more 2x4 legs Not included3 The bench only has a handle on the right side.. you need to secure your mitersaw for safety it states it on the bench itself. They provide no mounting holes nor hardware so you need to see what works for your saw. personally I may just clamp mine on in the back which is what I did before on my other portable table. That way I can quickly use this for other purposes as needed Not sure what that is yet.For the $30 I thought it was well worth it but not for $60 bucks. I just finished two projects before this came so I will need to wait till the next trim job to really use it.
Santa still hanging out in South Georgia and North Florida Lowe's Love my Jawhorse and all the accessories I picked up just yesterday. For those of you who can make it check Lowes for the miter saw table and plywood attachment. Bought yesterday at Lowes for $18.99 and $29.99 respectively. No joke. They've raised the plywood attachment already but the miter table still $18.99. Some of their store's even have it for $15.99. Jawhorse at $159 too. That's just nuts. Someone asleep at the switch I guess. I'm currently looking for the next deal.
Didn't Have The Time I didn't have the time to build my own miter saw table nor did I want to. So I spent the money to purchase this item. Like Jerry Wiggins mentioned you can build your own table. I just wanted to order it have it arrived in good shape mount my miter saw to it and be done with it!So far it has worked out that way. Honestly I just like the fact that I could finally get my miter saw off of my desk where it was taken up valuable space and give it portability. I can store my miter saw & the station out of the way. Overall I like that I made the purchase.
Reasonable utility when obtained at the discounted price I have had a Rockwell Jawhorse for over a year and have found it to be a sturdy and useful product. I purchase the plywood accessory when I bought the Jawhorse but held off on the other accessories. However I recently decided to add the miter saw station to my tool kit when it became available at a substantial discount. This product is exactly what you see on the product page a modest work platform attached with four screws to a metal base. The platform appears to be laminated engineered wood of some type nothing fancy. It is finished with a plastic edge and is not predrilled for a miter box. It occurs to me that you could remove this platform from the metal base and attach all sorts of custom work areas to it. Of course if you are going that far then you could also just use some angle iron and build your own miter box accessory as described by others.

Very Useful and a Great Deal This is an awesome storage and work bench that is a super value for the money even including the shipping cost. Mine came undamaged though the box could have been reinforced more to protect the item better. It is very functional and an excellent value.
Decent product poorly packaged This seems to be a decent product for the price. Good components and build. The biggest problem is that the product is so poorly packaged that there is no way to ship it without considerable damage occuring. On one occasion UPS returned the package to the vendor before it was even delivered and on the other occasions i had to go through great inconvenience repackaging and reinforcing the item for return. I had to return it twice before giving up and getting a similar productlocally. If you cannot pick this up in person dont bother ordering online unless you dont mind the high risk of it arriving damaged. That said Northern Tool were a first class vendor in dealing with my returns and credits. I will definately buy from them again.
Great workbench! This bench works wonderfully! It's sturdy and easy to move. The assembly wasn't difficult although a couple of the holes didn't line up and had to be enlarged. But once together it's just what I needed! I may buy another.
Good Value I ordered this through Amazon as opposed to direct from Northern Tool because shipping charges were about half of Northern's. After reading the other reviews I was worried about the condition it would arrive in and was pleasantly surprised. The box arrived encased in wooden slats and steel bands. There was no damage. Assembly is considerable. I took my time on it and followed the instructions to the letter. Once again I was surprised by the lack of problems. With the exception of one predrilled hole in the bottom everything lined up perfectly. The instructions were clear although they might have resequenced a couple of steps to make the whole undertaking easier. This thing seems well engineered and is solid. A slight negative as someone else noted the top is made of VERY soft wood. I used longer screws than those supplied to mount it to the cabinet. Considering the price this cabinet is tough to beat.
Colossal Pile of Crap This is the single worst item I have ever purchased. I don't mean worst bench. I don't mean from this specific vendor. This is the worst item I have ever purchased ever from anywhere. I'm no stranger to Some assembly required and I know my way around a screwdriver so what's so bad? This thing came with a multitude of screw holes that have to be lined up with the supplied screws. The holes are seldom drilled out properly and when they do they often don't quite line up or they simply refuse to accommodate the screws provided.
This is not a heavy duty bench This is not a heavy duty bench even though its advertised at handling 1200 lbs insert Made in China here. The steel constuction is flimsy the steel fastners are soft the black coating paint looks nice but doubt it will last the laminant table top looks good new but the wood is really soft. I should have known better after looking at the in store assembled wprkbench and recognizing the flaws drawers were leaning corners did not align tabletop scratched upBest things about this mobile work bench is its heigth 39 with the casters and its relatively inexpensive. I bought mine directly from a Northern Tools store for $229 plux tax don't event try to purchase your's online becasue it will be damaged during the shipping. The assembly was pretty easy and its during the assembly time you recognize how flimsy and low cost the steel fasteners and table top really are. Too bad becaus its hard to find something tall and mobile for less than $800 and more.Buy this product if your an ocassional hobbyist you dont need something really durable and if you wont regret buying something better. My suggestion is to find a higher grade work bench and add the caster wheels yourself.
Solid and stable damaged in shipping I purchased two of these through Amazon.com with cheaper shipping than directly from Northern Tool. They were shipped by truck. The boxes looked pretty good when I received them.On both of them the top of the workbench was face down in the box and had been damaged in shipping. One of them has a gouged out section about 2 x 3 that is about 1/8 deep. The other one just has several small dents in the wood. On both of them the bottom surface was damage free but was already drilled for attachment to the sheet metal base.
Great product I was a little worried about getting this workbench after some of the reviews that said the drawers are of poor construction and the holes dont line up. Well i had not one issue putting this thing together and couldnt be happier with my purchase. FYI for some the only issue i could see is that the wood top is soft not treated with any hardening type coating but this is perfect for me since I work on guns and would rather have a softer surface to work on. It is a solid well constructed bench and perfect for my needs. I have put some very heavy things in the drawers and they still run just as smooth as can be. This bench is worth every penny.
Pretty decent for the price Pretty easy to assemble but some pieces were bent because the packaging was lacking. But I was able to bend everything back into place and it's resaonably stable and works well.

Black Decker WM225 Workmate 450 Pound Workmate

Black & Decker WM225 Workmate 225 450-Pound Capacity Portable Work Bench
      • Adjustable jaws include swivel pegs for a unique gripping range
      • Includes four vise attachments
      • Measures 30.2-by-6.8-by-24.1 inches; weighs 28 pounds
      • Steel design holds up to 450 pounds
      • Workbench transforms into a vise, sawhorse, and bench tool stand
      • Not what it used to be Bought a Workmate 20 years ago that still functions we. At the time it was the low end model. The new version doesn't compare. Sheet metal is light and flimsy. Mechanicals are insubstantial.Very disappointing to see a great product so degraded.I won't send it back since the shipping charges make it impractical. I only it lasts more than a few months.
Workmate I wanted one of these years ago but had to wait. I am very satisfied that it was worth waiting for and the service was vert good.
Workmate review WM225 For Christmas I ordered a B&D Workmate for my oldest son. I personally have had a Workmate for 30 + years. During this time I have replaced the top boards replacement needed becaus of my abuse. It is a tool I use periodically and it has never failed me. One of the great products out there. It is a quality product that is sturdy and works.I would like to add Amazon's price was great and delivery was prompt.FoV.
workmate 225 .The workmate is a very good tool to have. It has a strong clamping vise andfolds down very easy. Can be hung on the wall. Amazon sent it very quickly.
badly packaged This is a gift and the box arrived with a gash on top and it had obviously been opened and taped up with one single piece of tape. I won't unpackage it until I give it to my husband as a gift but I will be amazed if all the pieces are included and there is no damage. Disappointing.
Good work stand.. I have owned one of the original Work Mates for a long time and found these collapsible work stands to be very useful. This is the third one I just purchased. If you need temporary working surface or a quick vice to hold a board for sanding or cutting these are great tools. They are light weight fold up into a small size and are fairly strong supports. They can be hung on the wall in the garage out of the way till needed or simply placed against the wall in their folded state. I use them for various woodworking use and have found them very useful.
Beware of Packaging I ordered this as a gift it would have been nice to know it'd be delivered in a giant Black & Decker box with a photo of its contents on the side. My husband now knows what his Christmas gift will be. Very disappointing.
Great product! Great product. I had one of these for years and it was durable and functioned well. Just don't leave them out in the weather.
Work Bench We had to replace the work benches we purchased in the past due to a fire. This was the only one to consider it's a work horse as well as a work bench. Well done Black and Decker.
susieq The Black and Decker workmate was a gift for my son this Christmas. He was very please to receive it as a gift. He has not had the time to use it yet but I will let you know when he does. It is Black and Decker so it has a good reputation. He actually wanted this bench last year for Christmas but it was not affordable at that time. Amazon sent an email notifying me that it was on sale. It was purchased five minutes later. If you do not have a wish list on Amazon I highly recommend you use one for upcoming sales on items you wish to purchase.

Adjustable jaws include swivel pegs for a unique gripping range.Includes four vise attachments.Measures 30.2-by-6.8-by-24.1 inches; weighs 28 pounds.Steel design holds up to 450 pounds.Workbench transforms into a vise, sawhorse, and bench tool stand. The Workmate 225 might be what's missing from your home shop. Its versatility makes it an especially ideal choice for those with limited shop floor space: Use it as a workbench, a bench tool stand, a vise, or a sawhorse; when the job's done, you can quickly break it down and store it out of the way. (Try that with a regular workbench!) Its portability is no small advantage: essentially, the Workmate lets you move your shop wherever you need it. The Workmate's legs fold under to provide the lower height and stability needed for use as a base for bench tools. Its all-steel construction and rubber feet ensure a stable, strong work surface that supports up to 450 pounds. And its independently adjustable jaws have two swivel pegs each, allowing you to hold almost anything. The Workmate 225 is Black & Decker's intro model. They also offer the Workmate 550, which is a little burlier, has a nice clamping device, and is more expensive. For light-duty, home shop use, though, the Workmate 225 is an excellent choice.
