Freezer Burn Joe R Lansdale Not one of my favorites

    Freezer Burn
    Freezer Burn Read more...

Hysterically funny wonderful supsense novel! My first reading of a Joe Lansdale novel was by accident when I wanted to try to find some new mystery writers to enjoy and ordered 'A Fine Blue Line' from a book club. I found Mr. Lansdale's writing and characters so good in that book that I then purchased 'The Bottoms' which was even better if possible. Both of which are murder mysterysuspense novels.I had never heard of Joe R. Lansdale a Texas born writer until I bought those two books and was surprised to find he has a large and loyal cult following as a writer of horrorsupernatural short stories and novels one of which became the popular movie BubbaHoTep about two elderly gentlemen in a nursing home who believe they are really a former US President and Elvis Presley. Although not a huge fan of horror in general I read that short story and found it very funny and quite frightening and decided to see what else he had written that I might like. I then stumbled upon his Hap & Leonard mystery suspense novels and was hooked. I now have them all and had to look for something more by Joe.I ran across this older book Freezer Burn and finally got a copy of it. I can't say enough good things other than to say it's his very BEST mysterysuspense novel of all and a super great read! So much so that he has now become one of my five top favorite writers of all time in any genre. This is the story set in Texas naturally of redneck loner loser and Mama's boy Bill Roberts. One day Mom dies and chronically unemployed Bill we'll just call him slightly slow decides he doesn't want to give up her Social Security check so he leaves her rapidly decaying body in a back bedroom with only the ever increasing flies and the Texas heat to keep her company. Bill is always scheming though so he and an even dumber buddy plan a robbery of a fireworks stand a plan that goes incredibly bad and this is when the story gets downright hysterical! Bill high tails it into the swamp and emerges eventually with a gigantic red and swollen face and head having been bitten hundreds nay thousands of times by those giant Texas skeeters. Appearing to be a real freak of nature he goes on the run by joining up with a cheap traveling carnival and fits right in! Look forward to lots of laughter as the dialogue and characters creepy midgets pinheads pumpkinheads a dogman and bearded lady to name a few are superbly written. One mystery starts upon Bill's seeing the carvnival's main attraction a sinister bearded man frozen in ice. Is the iceman a genuine caveman orperhaps even..
The very very best of Lansdale! Very Odd Mixture But Ultimately Vintage Lansdale I wasn't sure what to think of _Freezer Burn_ when I started it. The characters were just a bit too wild to really register. Then about the time the protagonist Bill realizes that he's starting to have unusual feelings love friendship for Conrad the Wonder Dog and Frost the leader of a small freakshow he's hooked up with following a botched robbery I realized that I was starting to feel all warm inside too. It takes a great writer to create a character like Billsomeone you'd normally cross the street to avoidand make you care about what happens to him. I know that other reviewers didn't feel the same way but I was right there rooting for the poor guy the whole way. If anything the downbeat noirish finale which I should have seen coming came as a bit of a surprise even though we've all seen this a thousand times before think _Double Indemnity_ or _Body Heat_. Heck I would have been happy just following Bill's adventures with the freakshow for a few more hundred pages. I really enjoyed this book and would recommend it highly though it's obviously not for all tastes.
Back to Adam and Eve I recommend this book yet give it a mixed review. On the one hand I found the character of Conrad one of the most compelling I've ever come across in literaturewonderful and amazing! on the other hand the ending was excruciatingly bleak. It crushed me. This was the first time I read anything by Lansdale and I plan on reading more.
Lansdale retells 'Freaks' as a comic roman noir. Bill Roberts is a laconic and none to smart loser that decides to rob a firecracker stand just across the street because his mother is now dead and stinking up the place and he cannot get the nerve up to forge her social security checks to get the money which he is just about out of. With two cohorts helping him out the robbery goes well for about two seconds. Then things go south in a hurry. Four corpses later poor Bill stumbles out of the swamp and into a traveling carnival Freakshow run by a kind hearted man with a hand growing out of his chest and his femme fatale wife. Hoping to hide out until things cool down in the real world Bill takes a job there and waits for the proper angles to present themselves. Gidget the blonde bombshell wife of the show's owner has some plans of her own as well as some very nice angles to get them done.Freezer Burn is largely a retelling of the film 'Freaks' as a comedic roman noir. Chock full of unsavory characters that view humane behavior as stupid and weak this is certainly not a novel for all tastes. Longtime Lansdale fans will be delighted to see him brush up on his darker roots the ones responsible for The Nightrunners and the black as tar noir nightmare The Night They Skipped the Horror Show. Others used to the trace of nobility found in his most recent work will wonder why he wasted his time telling the tale of such an unlikable sociopath antihero. Being a nearly twenty year Lansdale addict I heartily recommend to his longtime fans as well as to those who just like dark hearted noir with a goofball twist.
Hard to pin down but interesting. This book is really odd. I gave it a rating of 4 stars but I can't decide if that's really the best rating. I can't really say it has a good beat and I can dance to it so I give it an 86 no I have to say that it is so far outside the bounds of nearly anything I've ever read that I cannot easily classify it.The story revolves around Bill Roberts a name that almost screams average guy who is a middleaged loser who used to live off the his mother's meager pension checks. Well that's no more because good old mom is dead and Bill can't forge her signature to save his life. So he cooks up a scheme to rob a firecracker stand. That's right a firecracker stand. Go figure. Naturally the robbery goes terribly wrong and people get killed. A strangely hilarious chase through a Texas swamp ensues whereby more people die in bizarre manners.Bill ends up being nearly eaten alive by misquotoes which makes him look freakish and by coincidence happens to be rescued from the swamp by the owner of a traveling freak show.
JUST WHO ARE THE FREAKS? Joe Lansdale is a marvelous writer I have enjoyed most of the books I've read of his. FREEZER BURN is certainly full of Lansdale's trademark humor and unusual scenarios but ultimately it loses ground in the story of Bill Roberts and his involvement with Frost's freakshow. The story is filled with sexual innuendo thoughts and acts Gidget is reminiscent of Kathleen Turner in Body Heat and other femme fatales. Bill comes across selfish and uncaring at times and when he does care it's not enough. He's definitely a man ruled by his sexual satisfaction.
Frozen By The Freezer And Burned By The Girl!!! This movie is about one of life's losers Bill Roberts. Bill's mother has died and he doesn't want to forge her signature on her Welfare Checks. Furthermore she has left her house to an Animal Shelter in her Will. Instead of hiring a lawyer and contesting the Will like any sane person Bill decides to rob the fireworks stand and is soon caught up in a murder. He flees into the woods and become part of a travelling Carnival where he meets Gidget who is one cold hard hearted lady.Gidget has Murder on her mind and justifies her actions by being self aware that her and Bill are both Rotten to the core. This book is highly entertaining and I would rank it as one of Joe R. Lansdale's best.
Not one of my favorites It seems readers either love or hate Freezer Burn. I have to write that I'm in the middle. I LOVE almost all of Lansdale's writing.
A HILARIOUS NOVEL ABOUT ADULTERY AND MURDER!!! First let me talk for a moment about the writings of Joe R. Lansdale. I'm now totally addicted to this remarkable East Texas author. I think his novel THE BOTTOMS is one of the true masterpieces of modern American literature. I love the Hap/Leonard series and could read a new novel about these two hilarious and utterly heroic characters every week if Mr. Lansdale could write the books fast enough. I've read his novellas THE BOAR and THE BIG BLOW and have wondered why a mainstream publisher didn't pick up these two great little books. I've also read his children's story SOMETHING LUMBER THIS WAY COMES. So far I've enjoyed every piece of writing by him that I have read. FREEZER BURN is no exception. Though certainly different from the above books it nevertheless is pure Lansdale at his best. This is the story of Bill Roberts a low life who simply doesn't know any better. He's been living with his dominating mother for a long time and when she finally dies he decides to keep her body in the bedroom so that her social security checks will continue to come in. The only problem with the plan is that Bill is unable to successfully forge her signature on the checks. So with a handful of checks he's unable to cash a raucous smell permeating the house and a couple of cans of beets in the kitchen cabinet left to eat Bill makes the lessthanlucid decision to rob the firecracker stand across the street on the fourth of July with the help of two equally stupid acquaintances Fat Boy and Chaplin. Like everything else in Bill's life the robbery goes terribly wrong. The owner of the firecracker stand is murdered and then Fat Boy he encounters a nest of water moccasins in the swamp!!!! and Chaplin are killed in the getaway. Bill hides out in the Bottoms for a day or so feeding the mosquitoes with his face avoiding the poisonous snakes and praying the law doesn't catch up with him. When he eventually comes out of hiding he sees a carnival in a nearby field and goes to them for help. The owner of carnival Jack Frost takes Bill in and allows him to stay until he's completely healed from the mosquito bites and then offers him a job. This carnival is special. It's filled with freaks Conrad the Dog Man U.S. Grant the Bearded Lady the twohead Buckwheat pin heads and punk heads midgets and the Ice Man. Even Frost has a hand growing out of his chest. The only other normal person except for a couple of nasty roustabouts besides Bill is Gidget the wife of Jack Frost. Gidgetblonde beautiful sexy and as deadly as one of those cottonmouths in the Bottomsis every husband's worse nightmare. Over a period of weeks Bill gradually begins to see Frost and some of the other freaks in the carnival as human beings but it isn't his destiny to be a nice guy. Gidget has other ideas for him.

Not worth the money The jawhorse is a very solid piece of equipment. The miter saw station is junklots of plastic hand hole for the saw panel's on the wrong side metal structure under the saw table eats your leg up if you're carrying the saw with one hand. I am a professional carpenter and was looking for something that wouldn't take up so much room in the truck. I currently have my 12 saw mounted to a wheeled Ridgid saw stand. Stand is great but takes up a lot of room in the back of the Tacoma. Wanted something to use when I didn't have a lot of trim to do and this isn't it. Anybody with any shop skill could top this effort with about $40 in materials and an hour or so to fabricate.Don't be misled by the picture the guy put in there with his hand miter saw mounted to it. He bought some good rollers from Rockler and did it right. Too bad Rockwell went cheap on this. Amazon you need to add a category for equipment that's not defective but not well made either. Your sellers need to stop putting this kind of stuff out there. Rockwellupgrade the components and charge another $15 or so. This is rather disappointing.
Best gift ever I bought the Rockwell Jawhorse Miter Saw for my son as a gift when he bought his first house it was perfect. I must say Amazon.com made the purchase easy and delivery fast even with the free shipping my son received his Jawhorse products within a week. I have received many thank yous from him.
Nice conceptbut proved too unstable for bigger saws. Easy to setup and the feed rollers are handy but even adequate bracing was not capable of handling the size and/or weight of my bigger miter saw. To be fair I was trying to use my Milwaukee 12 dualbevel sliderwith a curbweight of abt. 80#'s. I have a 10 backup saw that fit well enough. Although I thought of it to be a good idea when I ordered it. It makes a great workstation for using smaller tools. As for it being sold as a miter saw standI would advise against it. I have one Jhorse as well as a pair of
Jawhorse Miter attachment Ok I could have built one of these but you can't buy time. Fits perfect easy to use. Allows me to use my jawhorse on more projects.
Jawhorse Miter Saw Station I used the miter saw table and roller accessories for cutting lamenate flooring and found it to be very helpful. It's a bit pricy but if it makes the job safer it's worth it. It also makes set up easy with the adjustable rollers.
Could be usefull I picked this up over at Lowes for only $29.98 so I figured it was worth getting compared to all the other online prices I see of $61+.1st impression1 It is well packed in the box. Felt like an Apple product unboxing.2 Overall it is dead simple to setup. You take a 2x4 and this workbench and put them together in the jawhorse. Add the 2x rollers included to a 2x4 Not included as needed and optionally add additional 2x cross support included to some more 2x4 legs Not included3 The bench only has a handle on the right side.. you need to secure your mitersaw for safety it states it on the bench itself. They provide no mounting holes nor hardware so you need to see what works for your saw. personally I may just clamp mine on in the back which is what I did before on my other portable table. That way I can quickly use this for other purposes as needed Not sure what that is yet.For the $30 I thought it was well worth it but not for $60 bucks. I just finished two projects before this came so I will need to wait till the next trim job to really use it.
Santa still hanging out in South Georgia and North Florida Lowe's Love my Jawhorse and all the accessories I picked up just yesterday. For those of you who can make it check Lowes for the miter saw table and plywood attachment. Bought yesterday at Lowes for $18.99 and $29.99 respectively. No joke. They've raised the plywood attachment already but the miter table still $18.99. Some of their store's even have it for $15.99. Jawhorse at $159 too. That's just nuts. Someone asleep at the switch I guess. I'm currently looking for the next deal.
Didn't Have The Time I didn't have the time to build my own miter saw table nor did I want to. So I spent the money to purchase this item. Like Jerry Wiggins mentioned you can build your own table. I just wanted to order it have it arrived in good shape mount my miter saw to it and be done with it!So far it has worked out that way. Honestly I just like the fact that I could finally get my miter saw off of my desk where it was taken up valuable space and give it portability. I can store my miter saw & the station out of the way. Overall I like that I made the purchase.
Reasonable utility when obtained at the discounted price I have had a Rockwell Jawhorse for over a year and have found it to be a sturdy and useful product. I purchase the plywood accessory when I bought the Jawhorse but held off on the other accessories. However I recently decided to add the miter saw station to my tool kit when it became available at a substantial discount. This product is exactly what you see on the product page a modest work platform attached with four screws to a metal base. The platform appears to be laminated engineered wood of some type nothing fancy. It is finished with a plastic edge and is not predrilled for a miter box. It occurs to me that you could remove this platform from the metal base and attach all sorts of custom work areas to it. Of course if you are going that far then you could also just use some angle iron and build your own miter box accessory as described by others.

Great Heartwarming Stories I don't normally like reading oldtime stories I prefer the modern romance books. However my grandmother gave me a few books and I was desperate for something to read so I decided to try it out. I love the whole book! Such heartwarming stories of a simpler yet at the same time much harder life. I feel like I learned something of the past while being entertained and engrossed all at once. Definitely recommend to anyone needing a good read.
Great Christmas Collection from some new to me authors It's the time of year to start reading Christmas stores and I always enjoy finding a book of short stories from several different authors. While I have read books from Tracie Peterson Tracey Bateman and Deborah Raney the rest of the authors were totally new to me. For me historical fiction is one of my favorite genre's to read and that's just what we get in this collection of nine short stories. In each story the author gives us a strong female lead that isn't to keen on falling in love but does anyway. I loved the positive christian messages woven into each story and the fact that theses stories are Christmas themed was just an added bonus. A great book to read during the holiday season.
Great Gift for Church parties and close friends I have a copy of this book for myself and I also purchased for a close friend and for our church Christmas party.. Can not go wrong on an Historical Christian Romance for the Christmas season.. Great book and great price.
Great Christmas Read Not only is the book beautifully made with a cover that can be used as a bookmark and pages that are tattered at the edges and made of great paper the book is more than a worthy read. It is full of love hope acceptance and warm hearted Christmas stories about love family and happy gatherings. It is full of stories about people who get a new perspective as they recognize not only what they should be doing but what is best to do and what is really important in life.It is wonderful to be able to sit down and read one story each evening. It will put you in the Christmas spirit and bless you as you read heart warming stories that uplift and inspire. But most of all it focuses on the reason for the season the Savior Jesus Christ who came that we might have life and have it more abundantly. We need more positive reads in this world and stories like this are perfect for such a time as this. Light hearted and just pleasant to pass the time with.

Romance & Christmas From Days Gone By A PRAIRIE Christmas Collection This 445 page collection contains 9 Historical Christmas Romances From American's Great Plains. From a readers point of view the amazing thing about this book is the delicate writing style of each of the 9 authors. Their style is not only very different but they also complement each other in a way that only a collection of short stories could do. Each of these talented authors writes in Christian romance fiction. The amazing list of short stories and authors are guaranteed to captivate the readers mind and take them back in time to the Prairie lives of the 1800's.This book proves to be a remarkable way to spend cozy alone time each night by cuddling with a blanket mug of hot chocolate and this collection of Christmas stories in front of a roaring fire. Each story is so fine tuned that it grabs the readers attention with great detail of the surroundings winter cold air that rushes in Christmas with a bit of Romance. No two of these authors styles are alike as no two stories are alike. Each is unique in its plot circumstances and of course romance even when it is not convenient as well as the way they grab and hold the readers attention. The main characters are not weak women depending on men for survival. In fact they are quite the opposite they are strong women who can captivate the men of the prairie who fall head over hills in love with them while remaining true to themselves and their feminine strengths.I truly enjoyed this collection of short stories.

When offered a chance at a sleigh ride can they let go of the past and become whole.
sweet and cozy bedtime stories To be completely honest I am not a huge fan of anthologies. The moment I start getting into the plot or the characters the story draws to an end. There isn't enough time for deep and meaningful character development or plot development. For me anthologies are literary snackssomething to whet your reading palette when you don't have enough time to fully engross in a book. The stories in this collection were sweet and cozy the equivalent of a quick adult bedtime story. A nice way to unwind at the end of the day especially during the hectic holiday season.

Been there read that I gave this book three stars because it is basically a rehash of articles that have appeared in Fine Homebuilding in the past. No wait it's not a rehash it's exact copies of articles that have appeared in Fine Homebuilding in the past. Maybe they said that in the description and I just missed it but as a religious reader of FHB I felt a little cheated. If you don't read FHB on a regular basis bump the review up to 4 1/2 stars. The articles are well written but if you're looking for a step by step primer on how to start with a bare exterior wall and put up siding this is not the book for you. What it does do is give you several different contractors thoughts and ideas on how to put up siding. Some of the information is transferable from one siding type to another some is not and only applies to the siding being discussed in the article. In the future I will only buy Taunton books specifically the By Pros for Pros series that are written by a specific author not one that lists editors.
Well written easy read. Missing some details I picked this up when I was starting to do a cedar lap siding job and I wanted to get some tips. The book is very well written as are all the For Pros By Pros series of books seem to be.It gives you a lot of details on exterior siding but doesn't spend much time talking about the most effecient way to do it. Not many tips for saving time or calculating waste or total material.I don't regret getting this book it gave me a starting point. Having moved from hardiplank I wasn't totally prepared for wood siding with this book.
Working on it I have a labor of love that I may never finish but this book set me off on the right path. For novice this book really gives good insight in plain language.
Excellent work on numerous exterior finishes. I bought this book to prep for cedar siding installation using rainscreen systems and came away wih more including vinyl cement siding and brick/rock work.
      Helps old men remember
Exterior house finish review. The book is well written and quite thorough. The only area it did not cover is how to put siding over a wall constructed of something other than wood such as Rastra or Perform wall.

Grizzly G3312 Saw Horse Brackets brackets a bad fit

      Grizzly G3312 Saw Horse Brackets
Grizzly G3312 Saw Horse Brackets Read more...

brackets a bad fit the grizzly brackets are too small for the two by fours we purchased at home depot.this is a pain in the butt.
Grizzly G3312 Saw Horse Brackets Grizzly G3312 Saw Horse Brackets allow you to build a really stable sawhorse. I put quite a bit of time on mine and have a set of sawhorses out feed Work area with a piece of plywood and just a necessity if you work with tools. These will be around a long time. Plastic is a good secure method of mounting legs to the Top Piece of the Horse. Crossbraced and shelved your sawhorse will be a thing of beauty and usefullness to you and your family.
great product! best saw horse brackets i ever had and i have had several types!
Sturdy and fairly inexpensive Two sets of these brackets plus some 2x4 lumber will produce two sturdy sawhorses with about 1/2 hour of cutting and assembly. You need to buy two one sawhorse is about as useful as one shoe. They aren't perfect though the sawhorses you make will be somewhat heavier than those you could make from scrap. The package says instructions included nope. The wing nuts supplied can't make enough force to pull the carriage bolts also supplied properly into the 2x4 material.Regarding instructions you really don't need much I was able to figure out the measurements but I'm familiar with what height and width sawhorses should be. I'd recommend that you buy 4 8' 2x4s to make these cost about $10. The picture shows wider material for the top surface but 2x6s or 2x8s are more than twice the cost of 2x4s and I don't think you'll gain anything for the money. Make 8 legs 31 in length and 2 top plates 36 in length. Measure in 5 from each end of the top plate for the bolt centered in the 2x4. If you have the skills bevel the leg ends to the angle that makes the leg ends sit flat on the ground. If not cut them straight across it'll be ok though it won't look as nice.I used a regular nut and washer in place of the wing nuts. The legs will be wobbly unless you tighten the fastener with a wrench.Building sawhorses from scrap will be cheaper but these brackets are a good option if you are starting from nothing and only have a saw.
Grizzly Saw Horse Brackets I read the comments by T.G.Reese before I bought them and there isn't really much to add to that excellent review. Delivery was quick the instructions were adequate and I used the wing nuts supplied. The whole assembly needed to be tightened up again after being left outside in rain overnight but that is no different to any check before equipment is used.So far it has been sturdy reliable and is more than adequate for it's purpose.

    • Universal machinery mounts for planers, band saws, scroll saws, and mitre saws
    • Portable miter saw work station with 4-outlet power center, 8-inch wheel, and storage compartment
    • 33-inches tall; up to 7-feet long; 75 pounds; 1-year warranty

    • Every man's shop Power centerlight vise and tool mount make this rugged portable tool center the icing on the cake for anyone with multiple bench tools. For me this replaced an awkward miter saw stand that wasn't convenient to use. Amazon's special made it even more attractive.
Don't waste your money I don't write many reviews but for the amount of money I wasted on this product. I am motivated please do not waste your money on this stand. If they try to give it away don't take it. First of all the wheels are going to fall off and second the pins that hold the legs in position will fail and fall apart. Then you will just try to give it away to the customer where you are currently working and if you're lucky he'll take it off your hands and save you a trip to the dump.Sorry if I've already written a review on this product but I have lots of stands and other tools but this thing really was a mistake.
Very good product for the money I read many reviews before I purchased this particular model. Pretty much everything posted was accurate. The product is well built versatile and overall fits my needs. I use this for mainly around the house and to help friends out with their carpentry needs. I am not a professional but I would think this unit would hold up well comparing it to other I have seen. Only two negatives I see already posted which I agree with.
Fine for home owner use This is not really stout enough for daily construction site use. The sheet metal is a bit too thin and/or a bit to soft. I've never used a Dewalt or other brand miter saw stand so can not judge how it stacks up against them.Pro1. Includes work glove box light & vise2. On board power strip with on and off switch3. Out rigger supports for long boards4. Seems well designed5. Very will packaged almost survived UPS6. Tool mounting brackets attach firmly enough to hold7. Assembly was intuitive didn't even look at the instructionsCon1. Was missing one hardware component a retaining clip2. Metal used for the leg supports and such is a bit soft but it worksCommentsThe vise was missing a Cclip that holds the drive screw in place. It is the same size as the wheel Cclip so I slapped one on it before I realized I needed it for the wheels. So had to order one from Tech Support still pending at this time. Not able to test the wheels at this time missing part discussed above.Glove box is small will hold screw drivers a few wrenches or a set of work cloves. Still it is a handy feature.Electric strip looks cheap but it works. Expect the outlet covers to break off quickly. But they could last time will tell. One of the rollers vibrated apart in shipping. All the parts were still in the box and it went back together without any issues.
Portamate vice the DeWalt Any design is a series of tradeoffs.1. The Portamate arrived dinged. I think this is the result of no styrofoam in the middle of the packaging and the thinner extrusion beam. One bolt bag was broken all bolts should go in a separate inside box. Short one set of knobs which customer svc is replacing.2. The Portamate is shorter & lower than the DeWalt.3. The DeWalt has better finish & uses heavier materials and aluminum legs vice painted steel legs on the Portamate. The Portamate's 'chrome' finish is very rough. Neither have adjustable legs e.g. the Milwaukee.
Great portable workstation I have been using this work center for over a year and could not be happier. The stand is sturdy but easy to fold up an move if necessary. I bought several sets of base mounts and have used them to create a variety of bolt in place work surfaces. This kind of versatility is crucial in a small shop. I would buy this again.
The Porta NOT Mate They should eliminate the 'Porta' from the name and just call it the 'Mate'. The instructions recommend removing the tool before knocking the stand down and moving it i.e the stand is portable without the tool mounted on it. What a joke. Buy the Delta portable stand if you want a great portable stand for moving your heavy tools.ProsThe removable tool holders are nice reason I bought the stand vs. the Delta.
      product fine sercice lousy
To good to be true This stand is very affordable however it does not stand up to daily use. I am a remodeling contractor who needs his tools to be able to take a variety of setups and lots of movement from job to job. This stand does not hold up. It is poorly constructed and cheaply manufactured. I was hoping it would be great considering the cost but after using it I am willing to pay more for a higher quality stand.
Sturdy & Extra Plug In's I bought this stand to hold the new miter saw I got. I use this same stand at work & have been completley satisfied. I have used the vise more than I ever thought I would. The light is a nice attachment but my favorite thing is all the extra plug ins. My shop is short on plug ins & this bench gives me more right where I need them. It's very sturdy and easily portable. I cut 10' long boards which was no problem with the slide out ends to help support the wood. At work I roll it back & forth accross the parking lot & so far the wheels are holding up fine this was one concern I had about the plastic wheels.

    • Backed by a 3-year limited warranty

    • Designed for use with the DW745 Compact Job Site table saw
    • Lightweight; folds flat for easy handling, storage, and transport
    • Support bar hardware holes for secure fastening of saw to the stand

    • Too tall. The product dimensions say approx 22x22. The product is closer to 22x32 inches !!!!! What a disappointment especially since I want compact saw and stand.
great stand I was looking for a stand for this saw for awhile and was happy to find one at amazon where else . I think its great I've noticed that some people are complaining about how the saw attaches to the stand but i have used it without attaching it with no problems. I would definitely buy one again.
Dewalt Table Saw Stand The stand arrived 'new in the box' as described. It matches my saw as expected. It arrived on time as expected. Good job.
great standsimple Very simple design lightweightsturdy easy to move around. I am very pleased with it. I would recommend this stand. I received it very quickly.
Not Necessary For Us This DeWalt saw stand might be a good choice for some. We always have sawhorses and plywood available to set a saw on so we returned it. One factor influencing that is that the saw had to be bolted by hand to the stand and that seemed like a lot of trouble if you didn't want to store it that way.
Dewalt DW 7450 Stand This stand was less expensive than the one that arrived damaged and had to be returned no replacement on the damaged stand Amazon Policy. Set up took a few minutes and the stand is solid and with the saw on it very stable. I live in Springfield Virginia. I also bought the Table saw DW745 from Amazon at a great savings.
DEWALT DW7450 Table Saw Stand for DW745 10Inch Compact Job Site Table Saw Sturdy stand and the right height for me. Some assembly is required out of the box and it's height is not adjustable. Also if you want to fold it you have to disassemble it.
simple and good The stand is simple and works great. I use bale pins to hold the saw on base lots faster. Could be alittle taller for mebut works great and is light weight.
dewalt 7450 stand for 745 dewalt table saw the stand is very sturdyand easy to assembleif you have this saw by the standyou will like it.the only thing bad about the stand it is shortiam 5ft7''and it is okbut needs to be able to adjust for taller people.dewalt needs to make the lower legs longerand drill 4 holes or so in each leg so the legs can adjust up or downthen it would be 5star stand.amazon shipping was fast and no problems.
Table saw stand for Delta DW745 This stand is very sturdy and stable. Short of building my own stand for the saw no time I opted to try this. I was surprised nd pleased at how solid it is.
