Are these Chinese? Seriously 2x4s did not fit in them. The demensions must be wrong. If treated lumber is bigger then my bad. I sanded the 2x4s down and pounded and pounded with a rubber mallet. It must have taken 2 hours.But when done saw horse is super solid.For a bunch plastic it seems this product should be priced around $10.
Sawhorse brackets I received this product in a timely manner. I purchased the required 2x4 lumber to build them. I made them extra long and extra tall. It comes as a set to make two saw horses.Great product. Easy to build. I think it took me 30 minutes to cut the lumber and built the horses. I would recommend this product.
Very nice product I always have various projects going on around my house and now I can finally get off the ground with my miter saw and table saw. Being able to quickly change the height and width of these sawhorses is an attractive feature but I don't think its something I'll need very often. Even with purchasing the 2x4's you'll still be way under the cost of another set of sawhorses. The two boards between the legs can pop out and they stack to store fairly well.I like these sawhorses this company makes a work bench kit that I am looking forward to picking up in the spring.
Actually less than one star First it was necessary to trim the excess plastic from the product. Then you see the sockets for the 2x4's do not have straight sides necessitating trying to correct by filing. Finally it became necessary to actually cut the 2X4's smaller so they'd fit. To top it all off the end product is as wobbly as a newborn fawn. Lesson learnednext time I buy elsewhere.
Great Item This is the 2nd set of these that I have purchased. Allows you to build sawhorses to the dimension that works best for you andthey handle the heavy stuff.
Great ideacheap plastic As a contractor I purchased these to use on the job site thought the idea was great. I needed a set of saw horses that were mobile and easy to store yet able to withstand the rigors of daily use and not as heavy as my steel ones. The idea of being able to change the width of the horses by simply cutting different lengths of 2x4's appealed to me as well. That is where my approval ends. 2 of the brackets broke while trying to put them together. When trying to get the 2x4 into the slot for one of the legs the side broke where the leg fits into the bracket. I realize that not all lumber is exact in dimension but that does not say much to have 2 brackets break from 1 set. It's plastic just know that and not very good plastic either.
Awesome Product Used these to make sawhorse legs for a door thus making a large taller work table. Went together easily if you pay attention to the directionality of the feet!.
saw horses for dummies These make building saw horses a snap. The kit comes with all applicable hardware you just provide the 2x4s. If the wood wears out simply cut new straight pieces of 2x4s and reuse the brackets. The angled feet allow the saw horse to sit flush on the ground. While these are plastic they are decently heavy duty and seem like they will hold up. My only complaint here would be the price. As of this writing amazon has this for over $30 dollars. Are they worth this much? I think a fair price would be something around $15 dollars. I'll admit they are easy to use however building a saw horse is not that complicated.
junk Thought these would be fast and easy. They took longer to put together than building my owen. Needed a hand held planer to make 2x4 fit and still broke one trying to get it together.
Strong and Inexpensive Clever system I made these into a pair of 36 31 tall sawhorses using four kilndried 2 x 4 x 8' studs from HD So less than $10 in lumber plus the cost of the kit added up to a great value. If all of the legs are equal in length if they're all driven 'home' into the plastic gussets easiest with a rubber mallet if you drive the kitprovided 3 screws through the legs and into the top crosspiece as per the directions you'll get a steady and strong pair of sawhorses from just 12 sawcuts aznd about 15 minutes with a screw gun. These could support 400 lbs or more each. Also may make a great quick cheap base for a work bench.
